Donna Mozelle Phoebus

Donna Mozelle Phoebus (affectionately called M0-Mo by her family) was born in Schuyler, Virginia (Nelson County). She was one of 11 children born to Blanche Elizabeth Smith Harding and Stephen Hopkins Harding. Mo was the last surviving sibling.

Upon her completion of high school, Mo came to Washington, D.C. and became employed in a secretarial position with the Washington Terminal Company (Union Station). There she met and married Thomas "Tommy" Winston Phoebus. Shortly after their wedding they moved to Gaithersburg (where Tommy grew up) and lived there the remainder of their days. After Tommy passed away, M0-Mo remained in their home for the rest of her life.

Mo-Mo was active in the Eastern Star and in her church (Grace Methodist).

She and Tommy enjoyed traveling and visiting their summer cottage.

After Tommy's death, Mo's sister, Bernice, came to live with her. Bernice passed away in March 2013.

Mo will be missed by her family, neighbors and friends, who take great comfort in knowing that she knew the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and is now at peace in Heaven with Him.

Mo's brothers and sisters (all deceased): Beatrice Umbaugh, Clarence Harding, Sybil Erickson, Joseph Harding, Marion Bantz, Wilma Hash, Bernice McMurtrey, Gene Harding and Wallace Harding.

Mo is survived by three sisters-in-law: Nell Phoebus, Kathleen Harding and Patsy Harding as well as 11 nieces and nephews, and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.
