Erik Dixon Euell

A Son. A Brother. A Father. A Soldier.

With broken hearts, we announce the unexpected loss of our beloved Erik Dixon Euell on Tuesday July 28, 2026. While words can never fully express the depth of our sorrow, we choose to remember him not by the day we lost him, but by the life he lived and the love he gave.

He was, first and always, a son, a brother, a father, and a soldier.

As a son, he was deeply loved by his parents, Emma and Edward Euell.

As a brother, he was a source of laughter, strength, and unwavering love. He leaves behind his sister, Elena Euell (Wife Angela) a brother, Tony Euell (Wife Niecy) and his sisters, Rebecca Jones and Khadejah Ali all of whom will forever cherish the memories they shared. Along with his numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

As a father, he found his greatest purpose. His daughter, Kayla, 19, and his son, Erik, 12, were the center of his world. He loved them beyond measure, and everything he did was rooted in his hope for their future.

As a soldier, he served his country with honor in the United States Army for seven years, completing three tours in Iraq. His courage, sacrifice, and dedication earned him numerous awards and commendations. After his military service ended, he continued to live with the values of honor, resilience, and selfless service.

He was also a lifelong learner who earned two master's degrees through hard work and determination. He believed in growing, improving, and making the most of every opportunity.

Beyond his accomplishments, he simply loved life. He loved baseball, enjoyed playing video games, and found peace outdoors. Whether he was camping beneath the stars, hiking a trail, or taking a drive with no particular destination, he appreciated the beauty of the world around him. He had a kind heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family fiercely, and they loved him just as deeply.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his life leaves an enduring legacy. We will remember his laughter, his strength, his service, and, most of all, the love he gave so freely.

He was our son.

He was our brother.

He was a devoted father.

He was an honorable soldier.

He was deeply loved, and he will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715, US, on August 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at the same location.

Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, 1 Memorial Ave, Arlington, Virginia 22211, at a later Date.
