I am so sorry and deeply saddened to hear Flo fell asleep in death.  As painful as her death is, I’m glad she is no longer in pain or suffering. Flo was a shining light in so many people’s lives. I am so thankful to Jehovah for putting  such a wonderful person in my life.  I will miss her terribly.  I look forward to seeing her beautiful smile again in the new world to come that is  just around the corner.  May your fond memories of Flo bring you some peace and comfort as you grieve just as my memories bring me. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and everyone who loved her.

I'm so sorry to read about Florence's passing. I'm sending you all my Sincere Condolences.
I remember Florence when she worked at FDIC, I worked in the Credit Union. She was always so nice to me. I met her at the Hall of Jehovah Witnesses and Brother Horad, we even studied together.
She will be missed by all that knew her, Rest Peacefully Florence your work is done here on Earth. May you have Eternal Peace 🙏🏽💐💔❤️


I always called her mom because she looks just like my real mom who passed  away a few years ago.  When I first moved here from El paso, Tx by way of SanDiego, the Horads were the first book study group I was assigned to and the both of them opened up their arms to me. I  was new to the truth. She was a good place to land when I needed to talk. She took me out in service and helped me to get acclimated to the 
Mitchellville congregation.   She always asked about my husband even up until I saw her last week. She would tell him,  you are going to be my brother one day. All I have are good and positive memories.   She was kind, friendly,  and down to earth. She is truly going to be missed.


We are very sorry for your Loss, Sister Horad was a wonderful sister and I will always have fond memories of being in the congregation with your family. We long for the day when we will see all of our loved ones in the new world.

This my DEAR Sis Florence has been my best friend abroad ever since we've met here in Jamaica in about 2001-2002.Infact I met the couple together,It was an unforgettable and interesting moment of love and laughter.We stayed connected until I went to work in the US and due to the limited time I was granted to work and how slow the season was I opted to do something better, she was the friend and sister that I reached out to and she helped me out so well until I returned home,It was such a joy being in  her company in the ministry ,she even dressed me up for the cold weather and asked me if I wanted to take home the coat,I told her if only I had the same weather back home,she laughed and said you are so right ,so I'll keep it until you return .She was the right company for me to fuel my desire for the ministry which I enjoyed alongside her , she introduced me to ,I recalled her son Aaron ,a very well trained son ,her husband Br.Horad a loving husband to her ,Sis.Irine who sometimes took me shopping, Sis Jones and even Br. Christopher among others. Last but not least,She also by her immediate actions , taught me how to unhesitantly respond to Jehovah's instructions when she and her family acted on information about simplifying our lives and even now I seek ways to do so. I TRULY LOVED MY DEAR SISTER AND FRIEND,I really  miss a true friend borned for times of distress and one who TRULY loved Jehovah, but I am CONFIDENT that Jehovah will reward her richly in just a little while.
My love for her remaining family members remain and may they feel free to visit us here in Jamaica,Our doors are wide open!!
Just continue to let Jehovah be your STRONGHOLD.



To The Horad Family

I want to extend my condolences to your family.  Florence was my special friend, and for a while, she and I were “pioneer partners in crime.” Losing her is such a great loss and she will be missed.  We must remember that Jehovah is indeed “the Father of tender mercies  
and the God of all comfort; who can calm us in the most difficult moments.”  ( 2 Corinthians 1: 3, 4)

I always thought of Florence and Sewell as a very spiritual couple together "and most importantly, individiually. Florence always had a beautiful smile that lit up here beautiful face. I loved to see them dance together and always thought,"Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire didn't have a thing on them". To the Horad family, " He will call and Flo will answer".  Until then, she will be missed, but not forgotten. Let's be there to welcome her back.

My love & prayers to fam. Sis Flo was a beautiful person inside & out she made a good name w/Jah. I'll miss that lovely smile she had such a genuine caring way of talking to you. I called her & bro Sewell Fred & Ginger truly enjoyed them gliding on the floor.....


My condolences to the Horad Family.  Florence was an encouraging, loving, spiritual sister who enjoyed eating Popeye’s   while in the ministry.  It was always a pleasure watching Florence and Sewell hand dance at crab feasts, and many other gatherings.  I look forward to our association again, under better conditions, in the new world.  (Psalms 37:10,11; Revelation 21:4,5)

Dear Brother's Horad & Family
No words can adequately express my heartfelt sorrow. Florence was such a zealous preacher of the good news and a loving supportive, and encouraging spiritual Sister who will be missed very much.  I know you can take comfort as I do in knowing that my beautiful Sister is at rest according to Psalm 13:3 and no more pain. All the while we continue to trust in Jehovah's promise at Acts 24:15.
