Irene Mary Banks Starks

Irene Mary Starks of Lanham, Maryland died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Irene is the wife of John H. Starks, Jr.; mother of Terrence L. Starks and his wife Monica, Richard A. Starks and his wife Mary and the late John Kenneth Starks; sister of Charles, Eugene, Sidney, and Everett Banks, Jr. and the late Harry C. Banks, Sr. Irene is also survived by her godchild Selena Williams and Selena's brother, Brandy Williams. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland 20715 on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside service and interment will take place 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Arlington National Cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend the graveside service should arrive at the Arlington National Cemetery, Administrative Building by 10:30 a.m. After the graveside service, there will be a reception at the Ft. Myer's Officers Club for family and friends attending the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's National Medical Center, 111 Michigan Ave., NW, Washington, D. C. 20010.
