James Robert Long, Jr., lovingly known as Jimmy, Junior, Jim Bob, Poppi, and Dad passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by family and love. He is survived by his beloved children, Lisa Adrienne Long Shockley, Kraig Betner Long (wife Liza), and Jennifer Lynn Long Mitchell (husband Kendall), along with his ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, first-cousin Barbara Pagan, four sibling-in-laws, and a host of family, friends, and acquaintances.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jimmy's life on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at The Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.
A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am, followed by Celebration of Life service at 10:00am.
