July 7, 2019 God carried James Michael Soppa home. He was surrounded by Diane Soppa, his wife of 40 years; his 4 children, Kathy Britt, Bridget Fitzgerald, Steve Soppa, and Nick Soppa; his 4 grandchildren, Courtney Soppa, Jordan Soppa, Brandon Britt and Dillon Fitzgerald; his daughter-in-law Carrie Ann Johnston; and sons-in-law Gary Fitzgerald and Billy Britt. Jimmy and Diane retired to Tamiami Village in North Fort Myers, Florida, where they have had years of adventures with their many friends. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 23 at 10 am at Robert Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, MD, immediately followed by a memorial service at 11 am. Attendees are welcome to dress casually and wear their favorite Harley Davidson shirts. Following the service, a celebration of life will take place at the Happy Harbor Restaurant & Bar in Deale, MD. Bikers are welcome to ride their motorcycles. Diane, my heart is so sadden for the passing of such a wonderful man, . We shared so many great time's together.
