It was not too long ago that I saw you and was beyond happy to see my Uncle James. My dearest Uncle James, a man of few words; quiet and reserved yet your presence made us (Jamall, Ian and I) smile when you came to visit us (Bayou Ave). I am saddened of your passing but rejoiced that you are with the Greatest FATHER spending eternity in HIS presence. There is no greater gift or accomplishment than standing in HIS presence. My heart is tranquil knowing that you are suffering no more. To my big cousins and little cousins...I LOVE YOU!

It seems there's very little Anyone can say or do To ease the loss of one who meant So very much to you But may you find some comfort In the sorrow that you bear,Just knowing there are many hearts That understand and care.We love yal

Uncle James we were alike in a lot of ways , reserve and quiet. I remember the long talks you used to give me about how important staying in school is. You will be missed .

Angie and Cindy I am praying of you and wishing you God's comfort during this time. I want you to know how special your father was to me. I lovingly remember Uncle James' words of encouragement, his fatherly counsel and his kind, gentle spirit. He was truly one of my heroes! May God's peace rest, rule and abound with you and the family now and always. Cousin Theodore (“Junior”)

To the Family of James Woodard
Please accept our prayers in your time of need, Mr Jim was a respected and well liked neighbor by those who had a chance to meet him in the Spansih Village Community, towards the end of the summer I had several conversations with him about sports, weather, property. He was always a man who enjoyed sharing his knowledge and wisdom...You will be truely missed my new friend. Sammy Brown 1914 T-3

To Angie & Cindy,
Words are never adequate at a time like this but my heart and wishes are with you both. I know what it's like to lose parents, but I know that my parents (Aunt Pearl and Uncle Earl) are embracing your father and mother in heaven. They are having a "Wilson Reunion". Take time to reflect on the memories of your father and your mother, for they are precious. Love you both and I am here for you also. Be encourage.

A reserved man of few words at times. However, was the spark of life to the family. I will cherish all the memories I have you. You were a great man, humble, funny, and caring. Thank you for being such an amazing grandfather/father to me. I know that you and momma are together again, holding hands, smiling down on me and the family. You two may be gone but will forever be in my heart and mind. I love you daddy!

About a month ago we shared an enjoyable time with James. We all laughed and shared love. It really was a wonderful lasting memory.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
