Beloved husband of Williette Laprise-Hammond and the late Mary Ann Hammond; loving father of John Charles, Jr. (Mary), James Vincent, Michael Glenn (Cathy), Mark Noel (Gabby) and Joseph Patrick (Karen) Hammond; step-father of Michelle Rose Houchens, Marc Norman DeGarie (Caroline), Verne Phillip DeGarie, Laurie Anne Dice (Thomas), Francine Marie Pessagno (James) and the late Renee Celeste Dovidio (Michael); grandfather of 28 and great-grandfather of 20; brother of Audrey Jones of Seattle, Washington and James Hammond of Cape Coral, FL.
