John F. Kirchhoff of Bluemont, Virginia formerly of Bowie, Maryland passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. John is the husband of the late Beatrice Faith Kirchhoff; father of Robert A. Kirchhoff and his wife Debra and Suzanne Harvey and her husband Curt; brother of the late Alan Kirchhoff; grandfather of Robert B. Miller, Jr. (Ainsley Anthony), John D. Miller (Rebecca), Emily R. Dahl (Matthew Wagner), Abigail L. Dahl, and Karen; great-grandfather of Austin Miller. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland 20715 on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm.. A funeral service will be held at 10 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 2503 Belair Drive, Bowie, Maryland 20715. An additional visitation will be held at the family home, 225 Oakleaf Lane, Bluemont, Virginia 20135 on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland at 1 pm, Thursday, April 27, 2017.
