January 21, 1951 – May 31, 2025
Kathleen “Kathy” Anne Kehoe (née McMahon), 74, of Odenton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025. Just days later, her beloved husband of 47 years, Carleton “Carl” Kehoe, followed her into peace on June 6, 2025. Their bond was as deep as it was enduring—a true partnership built on love, laughter, and shared purpose.
Born on January 21, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kathy lived a life defined by warmth, generosity, and a gift for making meaningful connections wherever she went. She spent her entire career as a linguist with the National Security Agency, where she met Carl while they were both stationed in Germany. Their love story led to three wedding ceremonies—first in Basel, Switzerland, then in Germany, and finally in the United States—each reflecting the joy and commitment they shared.
Kathy brought joy into every space she entered. A lifelong Jazzercise enthusiast, she had a radiant energy that lifted those around her. She passed on her love of Star Wars and Star Trek to her son, creating a legacy of shared imagination and wonder that lives on.
She and Carl shared a love of travel, especially cruising, and spent many happy years exploring new places together. They also shared a deep interest in genealogy, spending countless hours researching their family trees, which led to the discovery—and rediscovery—of cherished relationships and friendships across generations and continents.
Kathy is survived by her loving son, Brian, her daughter-in-law, Juan, and her cherished grandchildren, Lizzy and Alex.
A joint memorial service to honor Kathy and Carl will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where Kathy and Carl worshipped for decades and found strength, community, and peace.
