Lawrence "Larry" A. Short died Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Leslie Ann Short, children Lucas Andrew Short (Laura), Lois Johnson (Mike) and David Speece (Beth), grandchildren Isaiah, Cooper, Madison, Rooney and Michael Lawrence. He is also survived by many friends and loved ones. He loved to collect knives, tell jokes, watch movies and spend time with his family. Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 11 am to 12 pm at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD 20715 where a Memorial service will be held at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made, in his name to, Hospice of the Chesapeake, Philanthropy Department, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
