Lois Evelyn McGowan (nee Baicar), passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ronald M. McGowan, Sr. and her son, Ronald M. McGowan, Jr., her parents Paul and Helen Baicar, her siblings, Ann Smith, Paul Baicar and Barbara Ellen Foster. She is survived by her Grandsons Mark and Evan McGowan, her Granddaughters, Candice Kovacs and Lindsay Thiemann (Andrew), Seven Great-Grandsons and One Great-Granddaughter.
She is also survived by her Daughter-in-Law, Ellen McGowan Longo, her Sister-in-Law, Louise Baicar, and her Beloved Friend and Caregiver, Evelyn Daniel, as well as her children Chrisshall and Justus Daniel. She will greatly missed by all her nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering that will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM.
Her memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road Bowie, MD 20715
