Our beloved mother, Louise Ann Perry, passed away peacefully at our family home, surrounded by her children, on August 14, 2026, after battling Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. She grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, and earned a degree in early childhood education at Lowell State University. She married Carlton Sumner Perry on June 7, 1970, and taught second grade in Ohio before starting a family and moving to Bowie, Maryland.
Louise raised four children, Cal, Jenn, Kim, and Ken, who credit their parents with the formation of an incredible sibling bond for which they are so grateful. She was also supported by her two sons-in-law, Mason and Jeremie.
Louise was passionate about her faith and reading. She was a religious education teacher in the Faith Formation Program, preparing students to receive the sacraments of reconciliation and First Communion. She also loved serving as a lector for over 40 years at St. Pius X Church.
Louise adored her grandchildren, Lee, Carson, Camden, Audrey, and Olivia, who affectionately called her Nana Lou. In her later years, she shared stories of staying over at her grandparents’ home and taking trips to the beach with them, memories that always brought a smile to her face.
We will love and miss her dearly and are comforted by our belief that she is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Carl; her son, Cal; her parents, Nancy and Frank; and her sister, Patty; and her dear friend, Margaret.
