Lucille “Lucy” Aldrich Stanley, of Bowie, MD formerly of Miami, FL. Went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2019. Prior to Lucy’s passing she had been suffering with complications from lung cancer and COPD.

Lucy was born in Baltimore, MD on June 1, 1946, and graduated from DuVal High school in Lanham, MD.

Lucy worked and retired from Ransom Everglades School in Miami Fl.

Lucy’s interests included spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and baking.

Lucy is survived by her two sons, James M. Stanley, Jr. (Kristina) of Bowie, MD and John T. Stanley (Kate) of Dumfries, VA, her siblings, Mike Aldrich (Roberta) of Glenshaw, PA., and Cindy Yost of Glen Burnie, MD., five grandchildren; Eva, Julia, David, Eric, and Layne. She was preceded in death by her husband James M. Stanley.

The family invites friends to the visitation to be held on Wednesday, November 6th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home – 16000 Annapolis Road Bowie, MD., with services to follow on Thursday, November 7th @ 9AM.

Lucy will be laid to rest with her husband in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery - Cheltenham, following the funeral service.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
