I will always remember our Saturday mornings shopping at Wheaton Plaza. Love you Aunt Mary.

Aunt Mary was my godmother as she was to a few of us cousins. I have many fond memories of spending the night with my cousins, going to Mass on Sunday and to the movies after. I remember she gave me $5 for snacks at the movies but I thought it was for the collection plate at Mass. 
I thought she might fuss at me when I didn't have my money at the movies. But she laughed and gave me another $5. I also remember she and her 3 sisters cornered the market on jelly donuts. They loved jelly donuts, that did skip a generation though! I will miss you forever. You are now dancing with the angels and doing an
Irish jig with your sisters.

As we go forward in life we realize the true value of those who have loved us.
My sister said it best, "A lifetime of warm,loving memories of my Aunt Mary."
I can't remember a major family event in my life that Aunt Mary wasn't there.I will remember the happy times, the twinkle in her eyes when loved ones were near, her smile, her laugh, her caring. Later years trips to Williamsburg where she and my mother loved to eat breakfast at Mama Steve's laughing over their coffee. As several have remembered, putting their heads together with shoulders shaking, laughing at whatever struck them funny at the same moment. Those were the good times, illness and the always sad ending cannot be allowed to cloud our memories of treasured moments. I am grateful
for the love she showed and the happy memories.She is with God, her family and Uncle Bill she is well, happy and at peace. I only hope there is coffee in heaven! Love you and will miss you. Kathy

A lifetime of warm loving memories of my Aunt Mary.  I had so many happy memories stemming from my childhood throughout my adult life.  I always looked forward to spending the night at her house as a kid, meeting us all at the beach as well.  She was my favorite Aunt, always there for me.  I loved the way she laughed and enjoyed dining with her and my mom watching them enjoy each other.  She will always be in my heart and I will miss her. Josie

Mary, so very sad to hear your mother has passed on. Sending you love and prayers as you navigate this period of letting go of her physical presence. She lives on in all who loved her, in every kind word and action she shared. It is so hard to know you won't "see" her sweet face again... Hold tightly to every memory of her until you see her again in Christ.

I knew Mrs Barron through my friendship with her daughters Trish and Mary Carol. She always had such a strong spirit and was always very welcoming to us kids growing up. I know she'll be missed by all her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

I met dear, sweet Mary while she was in Fairfield Physical Rehabilitation Center.  I was there each day visiting my Aunt Millie who was there following her knee replacement surgery.  After learning about her love for black coffee, I would greet her each day with a small Dunkin Donut black coffee.  During a six-week period, she and Millie developed a wonderful friendship.  Their rooms were directly across the hall from each other, and they encouraged one another during their physical therapy.  Mary and I became very good friends on the very first day we met, and I looked forward to seeing her each day.  Her smile was radiant and full of love.  I loved her stories, and I will always remember her beautiful smile.  I absolutely fell in love with her through our daily chats.  She always wanted a hug before I left each evening, and I was the recipient of a very special hug in return.  She always talked about her family and how much she wanted to go home.  I had the pleasure of meeting several of her family of her family, and expressed my feelings about Mary to them. On the day I first met Mary, she told me that my smile was like "Sunshine" and asked me about my little pink ribbon on my collar, and I told her that I was a 15-year breast cancer survivor.  When Millie was told that she would be going home the next day,  I spent several hours with Mary.  I knew that it was going to be very difficult to leave Mary, and I promised her that we would always visit her. On my last visit with her, I took her a cuddly stuffed teddy bear and told her that she was named "Sunshine" and that she could always hug "Sunshine" and know that I loved her and would be with her.  We went to Bowie to visit her a couple of days before she passed away, and I was happy to see her sitting there holding "Sunshine".  She looked at us, smiled, and said "Sunshine on my shoulder. . ."   I will forever have my sweet little friend, Mary, in my heart,  my thoughts, and my prayers.   I love you, my special little friend. . .Cinda

My Aunt Mary was also my godmother. I loved her dearly. My happy memories of her, especially while growing up, will remain forever in my mind & heart. She was a special, loving and caring lady. My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to all my cousins.
