Ouida C. Cooksey of Glenn Dale, Maryland died on Monday, September 27, 2010. Ouida is the wife of Norris E. Cooksey; mother of Linda L. Kolar and her husband William, Brenda C. Roelofs and her husband Larry, Janet L. Mills and her husband Roy, and Edward J. Cooksey and his wife Donna; sister of Lorraine Smith and the late Eula Stark and Wallace P. Canady. Ouida is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at Ascension Catholic Church, Bowie, Maryland. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
