Patricia Ann (Schulze) Madison of Greenbelt, MD passed away Saturday January 28, 2012 with her daughters by her side. Loving wife of the late Arthur Clifton Madison, Jr.; beloved mother of Patty Phillips (Ken), Donna Peach (Steve), Mary Phillips (Jerry), Gaye Houchens (Tim), 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. Preceded in death by granddaughter Crystal Phillips Heranney.
Pat was a stay at home mom and often cared for her niece and nephews, many of the neighborhood children and block parent to the town of Riverdale. In 1987 Pat began her working career as a receptionist, accountant, book keeper and “Person In Charge” in the sanitation business. She retired in 2007 and spent much of her time with her family traveling to SW VA, her cabin in WVA and to local yard sales. She also enjoyed gardening and feeding and watching the birds.
Pat was a friend, adviser and confidant to many family and close friends and always had time to talk to those who seeked her advice.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her hospice caregivers and Cindy Fletcher for all their loving care and comfort. Special thanks to Linda Harris, Kim DeAngelas, her niece Peg MacNamara, her sister in-laws Betty Jo, Alice, Fran, and Dianne for their help with moms care when we could not be there. We also want to thank the many family, friends and co-workers visitors who helped to pass the time with love, laughter, and loving prayers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Hospice of P.G. County or Greenbelt Animal Shelter.
