Rosa was a gracious and talented colleague. The work she did improved the lives of so many. Thank you to her family for sharing  her gifts. 

It is with great sadness to think of Rosa on this day.  As her name reflects, she was a flower of life.  Warm, kind, and considerate to those that embraced a friendship with her.

She will be truly missed.  

May God continue to strengthen and bless you all individually and collectively during this time of reflection and healing.

Dear Wright Family,

Rosa changed my life for the better when I joined the Department of Education in 2016. Rosa decided quickly in a meeting that she was going to take me under her wing and teach me everything she could. Rosa embraced every new chance to learn on the job. In everything she did she focused on helping American students. She worked hard. She told me about when she stayed in the office until midnight making sure students received the benefits they were entitled to. Rosa told me to embrace different job opportunities because there will always be something new to learn.

As time moved on Rosa became my boss and I got even luckier. With her desk right across from mine, I would always casually walk in with endless questions. Rosa entertained ALL of them. She encouraged me, believed in me and taught me. Rosa quickly and effortlessly became my friend.

Her spirit infected our office with love and kindness. She kept tea and a snack drawer in her office for her coworkers. She celebrated everyone's birthday. Rosa gave to people endlessly. People like Rosa are rare and so incredibly beautiful. 

Rosa constantly spoke about her family, how PROUD she was of you and how much she loves you.  Rosa talked about fishing trips, going to the movies, duck donuts, traveling, attending tattoo conventions, and of course finding the best shoes and outfits.

She was a force to be reckoned with, a fighter. A work ethic unmatched. Rosa is the definition of a public servant. Always willing to grow, learn and help the American people. My heart is very heavy, I want to remember everything about Rosa, our conversations, hugs and laughs. Rosa brought beauty to everyone she met.My life permanently changed for the better because of Rosa.  I will carry everything she taught me forward.  Sending so much love and comfort to your family.

Rosa was undeniably a beautiful giving soul. Always willing to help and give without a second thought. Rosa and I would always take time out to talk about any and everything whether it was family, work or even FASHION we chatted for hours. I credit Rosa for my addiction to shopping at Pier1 for my home décor. To the family I wish you peace and comfort during this time.

Rosa was a wonderful person with an unusual willingness to give.  She  was deeply devoted to her family, and a wonderful co-worker who was always ready to listen and to help.  We were frequently in the office together at night and when I would get stuck trying to use one program or another, I would yell, "Hey Rosa" and she would come over and work me through the problem, always, always with her winning smile.  She had an excellent work ethic, which could be infectious.   Rosa is going to be greatly missed, but I take comfort knowing that her struggle is ended. To the family of Rosalizes Wright,

My wife Ann and I would like to offer our sincere condolences on the recent passing of Rosa; particularly to her beloved husband Richard and her children.  

I am a former work colleague of Rosa and I enjoyed working with her.  I always found her to be a very professional and pleasant young lady.  

We had a great time at a Christmas party at my home a couple of years ago; and I will always treasure this happy memory of her.  

I am attaching a picture of her from that event,  which was a happier time that she was able to share with her son.  This is one of my fondest memories of her. 

She was truly a very special person and will be missed.  May she rest in peace.

I had a brief opportunity to work with Rosa and even in such a short time her bright personality and warm demeanor made such an impression.   She will be greatly missed.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  

To the Wright family, as you walk through this time of loss please know that the FSA family are here for you.  I will miss our weekly conversations about the latest Broadway plays in New York and exchanging pictures of new meals prepared.  Rosa was dedicated to her job and put in long hours to ensure the mission was accomplished.  But there was not a day that is did not speak of her family.  Rosa was a great listener and provided the best advice.

My sincerest condolences and prayers are with Rosa's family and friends. I have worked with Rosa for several years, more closely over the past five.  She was a beacon of light and could turn a bad situation into a good one, no matter what.  She was always positive and inspiring and wanted to do her best to make sure she delivered on her promises, and at times, those of others.  She kept a smile on her face and always found a way to make sure you had one as well, whenever possible.  I will miss her dearly and will always remember her smile.  It was truly contagious.  May God comfort you all and continue to give you the strength you need for the days ahead. 

First, I'd love to say how wonderful a woman Rosa was.  She was an AMAZING woman with a truly great smile.  Her smile was like sunshine, and she was just a warm person.  Her daughter, Taylor was a classmate of my son, Denzel Green at Parkdale Senior High, and we never missed an opportunity to talk about our kids, and their growth.  She was EXTREMELY proud of her family, and spoke of them often with me.  She will be missed in the halls of our work place, because when SPECIAL people are no longer in our midst, we do notice that.  May she rest in reward, and live in peace!!!
