It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Lynne Dugan announces her passing after a battle with heart and lung disease on Monday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 79. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Jim and her children, Katy Nejedlo, Margy Blancke, Tim Dugan and Colleen Dugan She will also be fondly remembered by her 5 grandchildren, Tori, Carly, Matthew, Presley, and Leah.
Sandy dedicated her time not only to her family but also had a distinguished career of 20 years at the Central Intelligence Agency supporting decision makers at the highest levels of government. She also volunteered at her children’s school tutoring students in Math and English and was a volunteer administer for the State Department test for green card applicants. Sandy enjoyed reading and gardening. In retirement Sandy and Jim shared a passion for camping. They took several trips across the United States, and found a favorite site at Cocoa Beach Florida in which they camped 3 months out of the year for the past several decades as snowbirds.
There is no funeral service, instead there is a open house celebration of her life at Jim and Sandy’s house this Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 1-6pm. Please come to share in good food, drink and memories of Sandy. Address is 10906 Legend Manor Lane, GlennDale MD 20769.
