Stephen "Steve" George Holmes of Bowie, MD died on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Steve is the husband of Norma Holmes; father of Theresa Marie Vetch, Stacy Lyn Aldrich and her husband Jonathan, Stephen W. Holmes and his wife Margaret, Christopher S. Holmes and his wife Jessica and the late Christy Leeann Perry; brother of Helen Stansbury and Bernadine Thomas; grandfather of Curtis, Amanda, Matthew, Elizabeth, Connor and Collin; great-grandfather of Eloise and Finley. Stephen is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family, friends and co-workers. Friends and family will gather at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715 from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Inurnment will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD at a later date.
