On Monday, November 4, 2024, Vancie Astor Battle passed away peacefully in Bowie, MD. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughters, Angela and Cheryl Battle; granddaughter Ajaya Green; his siblings Thurman Battle, Millard Battle, Joseph Battle, Lucy Cooper, Marjorie Jenkins, Deborah Battle, and Linwood Battle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. All services will be held at Ward Memorial AME Church, 241 42nd Street NE, Washington, D. C., 20019 on Monday, November 25, 2024. Viewing will be from 10 AM- 11 AM, with the funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. Interment is to follow to Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD, 20722.
