Vincent Milan Johnson

Vincent proudly served his country as a United States Marine, deploying to Vietnam during his military career. After his honorable service, he continued a life of dedication and hard work as a skilled Master Technician with ADT, where he retired after many faithful years. Even in retirement, Vincent’s desire to grow never faded; he came just one class shy of earning his degree from the University of Maryland.

A lifelong learner, family man and man of deep faith, Vincent was also a devoted member of City of Praise Family Ministries Church. For more than 15 years, he faithfully volunteered at the food pantry, serving meals and spreading kindness in his community. He was a true God-fearing servant who answered the call of ministry and lived out his faith daily. Whether through his commitment to his family, his church work, warm smile, a friendly nod, or a kind gesture, Vincent served every person he met.

He was supportive, super funny, committed, humble, giving, patient, understanding, and a respected pillar in his community. Above all, Vincent was a Christ follower, servant at heart, to his nation, his family, his church, and his neighbors.

Vincent was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Johnson, and his father, Robert Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His beloved daughter, Pleshette Johnson, her mother and his former partner, dear friend and long-time sister in Christ, Gwen Walker

His dear sister: Roberta Stinson

His nephews: John Stinson, Dominic Walker

And a host of cousins, family members,

Church and ministry family, friends, and loving neighbors who were blessed by his life.

Vincent’s legacy of faith, service, humor, and love will live on in everyone whose life he touched. That beautiful smile will be deeply missed. He will be forever remembered as a servant of God, a devoted father, family man, Marine, and a friend to all.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at City of Praise Christian Ministries, 8501 Jericho City Dr., Landover, MD 20785, on June 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial Service at City of Praise Christian Ministries, 8501 Jericho City Dr, Landover, MD 20785, on June 26, 2026, at 11:00 am.
