William A. "Bill" King of Bowie, Maryland died on Monday, August 2, 2010. Husband of Donna L. King; Father of Hope R. Moro and her husband Gregory of Danville, Pennsylvania, Donna I. Kelly and her husband Donald of Westminster, Maryland, and William A. King, IV and his wife Rosalind of Rockville, Maryland; Brother of Wilma Rhodes and the late Wilber O. King, Jr.; Grandfather of Megan, Maddy, Blake, Cole, Will and Abby. Family and friends will gather at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 12 noon until time of Memorial Service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

William A. King

William A. King, 68, a 45 year resident of Bowie, died Aug. 2 at Washington Hospital Center from complications due to Diabetes.

He was born March 16, 1942 in Cumberland. He was a member of the U.S. Marines from 1960-1968, achieving the rank of Corporal. He was the President/Owner of Tax Shoppe USA, Inc.

He was a member of Masons and American Legion. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur O. King Sr. and Gladys Irene King; and his brother, Wilbur O. King Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Donna King; his son, William A. King IV and his wife Rosalind King; his two daughters, Hope Moro and her husband Gregory and Donna Kelly and her husband Donald; his sister, Wilma Rhodes; and his six grandchildren, Megan, Maddy, Blake, Cole, Will, and Abby.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, at Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home.
