Dear Michele, Denise, and Debbie,

My heart goes out to you at this time.  As I watched through the final days and even hours of your mom's journey through life, I could not help but see the love and devotion from each of you.  You were there - for her last wishes.  You were there - in her final hour.  You were there - to comfort her and grant her those final wishes.  You were there - to hear her prayer.  You were there - to see her off to the Lord - doing it her way with her girls by her side.  I was there to support and comfort you as you helped her through all that.  But, it was more than that.  As she became ill, and needed someone to lean on, to make her laugh, to play cards with, to comfort her, to sit by the fire and laugh, she asked you to put her entire life in your hands in her last months, weeks, hours - and you did just that - you were there.  But, she isn't gone, just on her journey to a place where you will all meet up with her again - she just got there first.  And, when you meet up with your mom in heaven, and you are greeted by that wonderful smile, she will tell you that she loved you all her life, loved you for what you were and what you did for her, how you respected her wishes in her final hours, and she will tell you "Thanks girls - I am so glad you were there."  I will miss her as well, and I will see her again in heaven as we all will.  That, you can count on, because GOD IS GOOD!  Praise God!

I miss you so much.  My heart aches so bad.  I keep waiting for you to just walk thru the door and come over and eat dinner, play rummy or just sit and watch a movie with us.  It just doesn't seem fair.  The puppies just aren't the same, they just sit and look at the door waiting for you.  Remember when Burlesque was playing and the music made you want to dance and we got up and jitter-bugged.   Or when I played the Golden Oldies and we sat and danced and sang all night last Christmas eve.  How about when we went to that carnival during the summer?  Got your favorite chavettas chicken and we went to hear the band Hit-N-Run….  We danced all night in that beer tent!  Remember that???  Then we got rained on, and you were laughing so hard saying you would never have thought you would ever do something like this.  I thank God for the last year we had with you.  All the walks on the bike path, or in our backyard, the campfires or watching the fireworks .  I think this last year together was probably the best year for all of us.  You finally got to live again, and for that I am thankful.  I know you are in a better place mom, but as you see Dee-Dee and I going through your stuff and packing it up, and you see us struggle, please help us get stronger through this.  This is a very difficult time for us, we are missing you so very much.  I just don't know how to move on..  I'm so used to being there for you and helping you out, I loved showing you how to learn new things.  I miss you mom….  I know we will all be together one day and then we can dance together again.  Until then, please watch over us as we try to continue our path in life without you.  You became my best friend and I am so blessed to be able to share my life with you.  I love you mommy. I miss you dreadfully.  I will never forget our late night scrabble games.  Always with the same result, I lost. Thank you for the best gift I ever received, your daughter Denise.  I will love, cherish and protect her until we meet again.  See you in glory.  Tell Jesus I said hi.

At this time of year I find myself missing you most.  I look at the lights on the houses and remember all the times you took me out to see the different houses in our area all lit up.  I miss you so much gram and I promise you that I will take care of my mom for you have given me the greatest gift of all, my mom and my best friend.

Words cannot express how much I miss you mom.  My heart just aches so much.  You were the best mom in the world. I loved our shopping trips together. I loved just sitting and talking over a cup of coffee.  I could go on and on.  To sum it up, I loved everything about you. I love you so much.  Knowing you are with Jesus makes me happy because you have no more pain and no more sorrow and someday we will be together and we can have that cup of coffee together once again.  I remember you telling Debbie and I that you would be saving a place for us in Heaven.  We are holding you to your word Mom. Love, Dee
