Paul graduated from Buffalo PS # 24; Hutch Tech High School; Erie County Technical Institute as well as various elevator industry schools. While working for various companies in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, Paul also taught other employees for over 50 years. Paul worked for Campbell elevator, Dover elevator and Thyssen Krupp Elevator, retiring from DCB Elevator. Paul often repeated his belief "I don't have a vocation but do have an avocation". Paul was a people oriented person who enjoyed his co-workers as well as the customers of the various companies he worked for. He was a member of the Army National Guard for three enlistments, serving as a member of the anti- aircraft 90 millimeter gun battalion as well as the Nike surface to air missile system that was charged with protecting Western New York. As a model railroad enthusiast he built and ran several large Lionel train layouts in the basement of his home. His great fun days were spent riding his John Deere tractor as he mowed his property.
