Trudy Sajdak

SAJDAK- Gertrude "Trudy" (nee Fiebelkorn) 81, of Fredonia and formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on August 29, 2023 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard, and daughters Tina Bottone of Syracuse and Beth Wlodarek (Todd Tworek) of Dunkirk; brothers Karl (Tina Li) Fiebelkorn of Getzville and Michael Fiebelkorn of Dunkirk and sister Nancy (Marty) Antrobus of California; stepson James (Debbie) Sajdak of California and stepdaughter Susan (Dave) Pelosi of Grand Island; grandchildren include Sarina and Nicholas Bottone and Alyssa Pelosi; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Ralph and Martha Fiebelkorn and sister Joan Bohn of North Carolina. Trudy's working career started with Bell Telephone Co. and continues with many years at Fredonia State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. She worked for the Registrar's Office, the Vice President's office and that of the Dean of Special Studies. She was the first recipient of the College President's Award for Excellence in Service. Her hobby of creating greeting cards was well known while living in Florida. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Dunkirk, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
