Betty J Shaner

Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Hazel (Daneker) and Warren Sowers, Sr.

Betty last worked for the Perkiomen Valley School District as a custodian for many years. Previously she worked for Paragon Pocketbooks and local hosiery and cabinet mills.

She was an avid baker, crafter and quilt maker.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and camping.

She is survived by her children, Theresa A. wife of Charles R. Hutt of Boyertown and Lisa M. wife of Lawrence D. Sumner of Birdsboro. Grandchildren, Kristy L. Mangual, Timothy O. Hutt, Sr., Joshua G. Hutt, Ronmale C. Hutt, Elijah S. Hutt, Mattea S. Hutt, Isabelle C. Hutt, Zoe M. Hutt, Lawrence D. Sumner, Jr. and Keenan J. Sumner. Great Grandchildren, Sophia, Lily, Aaryn, Josiah, Timothy Jr., Ashley, Faith, Grayson and Lincoln. A brother, Robert Sowers, Sr. of Zieglerville. She is predeceased by her siblings, Warren "Mush" Sowers Jr., George "Kockle" Sowers, Delores "Tis" Van Every, Patricia Schwoyer and John "Mort" Sowers.

Funeral Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA 19512. on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.
