Caroline L. Brong, 91, of Boyertown, PA. Widow of the late Charles “Dutch” W. Brong. Passed away on Sunday November 15, 2020 at Keystone Villa in Douglassville. Born in Clymer, PA. She was the youngest daughter, of eight children, to the late Mary (Peles) and Joseph Malisa. After graduation, she moved to Philadelphia and found work as a book keeper. It is here that she meet her future husband …..a relationship that would last for over 63 years. Together they would raise six children. This full time job was made a little easier during the summer months spent at Tingley Lake. The cottage may have been Dutch’s castle, but Caroline was the Queen…the real ruler. Since she loved being surrounded by family, Sunday and holiday dinners were tradition. Caroline was an active member of St. Columbkill’s Church in Boyertown, PA. She also was a Eucharistic Minister for the church and a volunteer for “Meals on Wheels” for over 20 years. She is survived by her children, Carol J. Brong-Amick widow of Wayne H. Amick , Charles W.,Jr. husband of Joan (Robinson) Brong, Bert R. Brong, Mary Ellen wife of Dan Bennett, William J. husband of Olesa K. (Hipple) Brong and Sandra A. Pinkavitch. Caroline is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkill’s Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown, PA 19512, on Friday November 20, 2020 at 12:00 PM. Internment will be immediately following at the Berks County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. We’re so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. She was certainly a part of the fun times at the lake. Whenever we play the card game Wizard we think of her and smile.
