Carolyn J. Schaeffer

Born in Macungie, PA she was the daughter of the late Stella (Roth) and Allen Funk.

She worked many years for Great American Knitting Mills, Bally. She was a cashier for Ames, Boyertown for nine years until their closing.

Surviving with her husband William, of sixty years (Married August 23, 1952) is a daughter, Cynthia Ferguson companion of Bruce Cleaver of Boyertown; a son, Gary, husband of Linda (Klein) Schaeffer of Boyertown; a brother, Allen Funk of Florida; a sister, Madeline, wife of Paul Miller of Macungie; two grandchildren, Joshua, husband of Tiffany Stoudt and Jessica, wife of Jared Houck; three great-grandchildren, Connor and Madison Houck and Logan Stoudt. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Wetzel and three brothers, Paul, Ray and Charles Funk.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Reverend John G. Pearson, pastor of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown will officiate.

A viewing will be between 1 – 2 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Boyertown.
