Born on March 23, 1949, to Leonard and Doris Krell, Cheri was raised in a close-knit family as the second of eight siblings. She graduated from Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio, Class of 1967, where she found her lifelong love for music, playing flute and serving as a majorette in the marching band. She remained connected to her roots by participating in the Alumni Band on occasion.
In 1968, shortly after high school, Cheri and her brother enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, attending basic training together at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. Over her four years of service, she was stationed at Sheppard AFB, Plattsburgh AFB, and in the Philippines.
After her military service, Cheri married Robert “Bob” Morris. Though their marriage was brief, they shared the joy of raising twin daughters, Marci (Joseph) Trost and Cari (Mark) Snyder, who were a source of constant pride and motivation for Cheri.
Driven by a passion for education and helping others, Cheri earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and completed doctoral coursework. She dedicated her career to serving children and families as a school psychologist and later as a clinical psychologist, retiring from the Spring-Ford Area School District.
Cheri was known for her vibrant spirit, love of gardening, compassion for animals, and deep faith in Jesus Christ. She was adventurous and fiercely independent, enjoying travel with both family and friends. Cheri was a proud and loving grandmother to Layla Howell and Joseph Trost, cherishing every moment with them.
She was a devoted member of Peace in Zion Church in Zieglerville, PA, a member of the Eastern Star, and a former Rainbow Girl.
