David R. Schaeffer, age 76, husband of Louise (Kring) of New Berlinville, PA passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, in his residence. On December 3, 1946, in Ashland, PA, he was born to the late C. Pearl (Edwards) and Mark G. Schaeffer.
After graduating high school, David attended the McCann School of Business. He worked at the Boyertown Auto Body Works for 26 years. Later he became a Machine Operator at Judson Smith Company. David was a member of Colebrookdale Chapel in Boyertown, PA. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to gospel hymns, big band, doo-wop, and rock n roll relaxing on his patio. But what David loved most of all is spending time with his family.
David leaves behind his loving wife, Louise (Kring) Schaeffer of New Berlinville, PA; daughter, Cathy Lynn of Ephrata, PA; nephews, Erik Frey and John Kring Jr.; and niece, Brooke Horne.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home in Boyertown, PA. A viewing will be held prior from 10 am to 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
