Delbert "Pete" L. Schrader

Born in Melvern, Kansas he was the son of the late Claude and Halcie (Small) Schrader of Olivet, Kansas.

Delbert graduated in 1948 from Olivet High School. In 1949 he attended Kansas State College majoring in Electrical Engineering; and in 1950 he attended Kansas State Teacher’s College, Emporia, Kansas.

He was a Navy Veteran between 1951 – 1954 servings at the U.S.S. Boxer Aircraft Carrier.

From 1967 – 1973 Delbert worked at Univac, Blue Bell, PA as a Product Consultant, promoted to Sales Support, promoted to National Sales Manager; from 1973- 1976 he was the Data Processing Manager for Decision Data, Horsham, PA; in 1976 went to Univac (now Unisys), Wayne, PA as a Data Processing Consultant, later moving with Sperry to Gulf Mulls, PA., retiring in April, 1989. He enjoyed bowling and golfing.

Surviving with his wife, Betty of 60 years are two daughters, Deborah, wife of Gordon Hollowbush of Barto and Melanie, wife of Kenneth Ertman of Boyertown; grandchildren, Bruce, husband of Elizabeth Hollowbush of Boyertown , Stephanie Ertman fiancée of Eric Wiediger of Boyertown and Beth (Ertman) Barnes of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Betty, widow of Howard Seetin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Alice, widow of Thomas Roberson of Osage City, Kansas; brother-in-law, James, husband of Sandra Tate of LaGrange, Georgia; step-grandchildren, Diane (Hollowbush) Cynova of Gilbertsville and Gregory Hollowbush; step-great-grandchildren, Lance and Justin Cynova and Anthony Rutkowski; Nieces, Dian Bright, Janice Leonard, Susan Metcalf and Julie Owen; nephews Garland Seetin, Scott Roberson and Patrick Tate. He was predeceased by a nephew Gregory Roberson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday between 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
