Born in Pottstown, PA he was the son of the late Roger S. and Ruth S. (Moyer) Yoder.
He was a 1966 graduate of Boyertown High School and earned his associates degree in computer science at RACC. Dennis was a welder who worked at the former Boyertown Body Works and Dana. He was in the US Army and served as a Medic in Vietnam. For fifteen years Dennis was a volunteer EMT driver for Boyertown Ambulance; a volunteer for Gilbertsville Fire Company; an area baseball coach for little league and the chairman of his class reunion committee. He belonged to the American Dream Corvette Club. Dennis was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bechtelsville where he was president of the church council.
Surviving with his wife Catherine of fifty years (married February 3, 1968) is a son James D., husband of Cyndia L. (Ressler) Yoder of Birdsboro; a sister Louise (Susie) wife of Robert Wolfgang of Bechtelsville; a granddaughter, Jamie Yoder of West Virginia. He was predeceased by a son Richard D. Yoder.
Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 9:30 -11 a.m. at the church.
Memorial will services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1749 South Main Street, Bechtelsville.
Reverend Eugene Zaiser will officiate.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
