Dorothy Bernice Rader

Dorothy Bernice (Levengood) Rader, age 95, of Frederick, PA passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Frederick Living. She was the wife of the late Ernest H. Rader. Dorothy was born June 8, 1927, in Upper Pottsgrove Township to the late Mildred (Yerger) and Maurice Levengood. Dorothy worked at Boyer’s Store, now the Medicine Shoppe, in Boyertown, PA as a salesperson. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown, PA. She volunteered her time to help with Vacation Bible School, weeding the church’s flower beds, Snacks for a Golden Age, and funeral luncheons. Dorothy loved to garden at home; her son Bruce would also help her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lee Moser, wife of Gordon of Barto, PA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Troy, Travis, Evelyn, Marjorie, Alyssa, and Derek, and her eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Ernest H. Rader, and son, Bruce O. Rader, husband of Pamela J. (Gilbert). Funeral Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Bechtelsville, PA on September 15, 2022, at 10:30 am. A viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am prior to the service at the church. Burial will immediately follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy’s honor to the Vision Resource Center, Reading, PA.
