

Edith J. “Edie” (King), 81, wife of John G. “Jack” Bohrer, of Harleysville, PA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Surviving with her husband Jack are her sons, John M. Mack, husband of Rita; and John G. Bohrer, husband of Lori; and her daughters, Barbara Mack; Jane Kershaw, wife of Roy; Betty Ann Carleton; and Barbara King, wife of William; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Edith was predeceased by her son Jeffrey P. Mack. Edie was a beach-tag seller at the 42nd Street Beach in Sea Isle City, NJ and prior to that was a waitress at Baffa’s Restaurant, Belmont Hills, PA. She was a longtime member of the Suncoast Mummers and the Cape May County String Band. Edith was also a member of the Sea Isle, NJ VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Elks Auxiliary in Ellenton, FL where she was past president. Memorial Services will be held at Arbour Square, 695 Main St., Harleysville, PA 19438 on Wednesday, October 19th from 2 to 4 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics, 2570 Boulevard of the Generals, 124 Washington Square, Norristown, PA 19403.
