Born in West Chester, he was a son of the late Esther R. (Bell) and Edward J. Mackey, Sr.
He was self-employed as the owner and operator of E.J. Mackey Water Conditioning for 22 years retiring in 2002. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and the solitude of his country home.
Edward is survived by his wife of 60 years, Inge, daughters, Alynn A. Mackey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and Jodi M. wife of Karl A. Heebner of Boyertown, brother, Richard A. Mackey of Boyertown, a granddaughter, Kirsten L. Willumsen of Conway, SC. and extended family and friends.
