Grant E. Dierolf, 84 of Gilbertsville passed away Friday April 19, 2013 in his residence. Grant was born in Bechtelsville to the late Florence H (Eshbach) and Warren Dierolf. He was also the widower of the late Anna M. (Mertz). Grant worked as an assemblyman for 38 years at the Boyertown Auto Body works. Having also worked at the Unger Fruit farm in his younger days.
Grant was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. A member of the Boyertown American Legion, and a life member of the Gilbertsville Fire Co. He also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Grant, along with his late wife Anna, loved Boyertown sports, as well as the much traveling they did together.
Grant is survived by his son Barry G. and his wife Lindsay Dierolf of Barto. His 3 granddaughters, Brooke E. Dierolf of Bally, Tonya A. Dierolf of Harrisburg and Kimberly P. Dierolf of Barto. He also has 2 Great grandchildren Katherine and Thomas Lauman of Bally. There are 3 sisters Helen Penketh , Pauline Renninger, and Gloria Christman all of Gilbertsville, and 2 brothers Ammon Dierolf, and Kerlin Dierolf both of Gilbertsville. He is predeceased by a sister Edith Reigner and a brother John Dierolf.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Friedens UCC, 337 Main St. Oley Pa. Reverend Elizabeth Garrigan-Byerly will officiate.
Relatives and friends will be received from 10 till 11 am.
Burial will be held at Limerick Garden of Memories, on Wednesday at 2 PM.
In lieu of Flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Bally Lions Club P.O.Box 285 Bally Pa. 19503.
