Born Hastings, St. Leonard’s Parish, England, she was the last survivor of 8 children of the late Kate (Brown) and Thomas Clark.
After WW II, Iris sent her eldest son to America and followed a year later with her husband and two children. It was her dream and our family’s good fortune to settle in the United States. Her drive and courage continued through the years and touched many lives in the community as a professional seamstress, making the twirling corp uniforms for the Boyertown Area High School in 1963 among many other projects. She was also a homemaker and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was very accomplished with a crochet hook and took joy in giving her finished products to friends and family. Iris was a devout Lutheran.
She is survived by her sons John C. Sr. Esq. and wife Jean Talley Watts of Bluffton, SC., Dave of Castle Rock, CO. and daughter, Yvonne Watts Massey, wife of Timothy of Douglassville, PA. Grandchildren, John C. Watts Jr. husband of Claire Goodman Watts, Nicole R. Mock wife of Thomas. Great grandchildren, David G. Watts, Whittier M. Watts, John C. Watts 3rd and Eric T. Mock.
