Irma Sweinhart Fox

Born in Niantic, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Nester) Sweinhart.

She was a 1931 graduate of Boyertown High School. Irma worked in the accounting office for Firestone Tire and Rubber, Pottstown. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown. Irma enjoyed art and painting. She was deeply involved in many of St. John's organizations and was a volunteer for meals on wheels at the Boyertown Multi-Service.

Irma is survived by a son, Dr. Gene R., husband of Joan Fox of Pipersville, PA; a brother, Robert, husband of Miriam Sweinhart of Boyertown, PA; sister-in-law, Alice, wife of Paul Weller of Bechtelsville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Richard G. Fox, a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Fox and a brother, Stanley Sweinhart.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 45 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Sister Millicent J. Drake will officiate.

A viewing will be Monday between 10 - 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 45 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512.
