J. Howard Yerger

J. Howard Yerger, 89, of Boyertown passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown. He was the widower of Helen S. (Bieleski) Yerger, who passed away on March 26, 2004. He was the son of the late J. Lee and Katie (Wagner) Yerger. Howard was a 1941 graduate of Pottstown High School. He was a member of New Hanover Lutheran Church, Gilbertsville. He worked for Paul and Kenny Moyer Home Builders and Freed's Supermarket. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by a son, Gerald H., husband of Sallie Ann Yerger of Boyertown; grandchildren, Steven Yerger, Heather Xanthopoulos and Holly Yerger and great-grandchildren, tony and Michael Xanthopoulos. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2013 at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 701 Farmington Avenue, Pottstown. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to New Hanover Lutheran Church, 2941 Lutheran Road, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Arrangements are being handled by the Linwood W.
