Jacquelin Ruth Yancik, 79 of Douglassville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 37 years Yaroslav "Roy" Yancik. Born on June 24, 1938 in Trooper, PA, Jackie was the daughter of the late William B. and Mildred L. (Stewart) Smith. She was a longtime resident of Phoenixville, PA and worked as a bus driver for many years. Jackie later worked at and retired from the Montgomery County Geriatric Center in Royersford, PA. Jackie Yancik was friend to all and loved by many. she will be missed by all who knew her. Jackie is survived by six children, Calvin W.Pierson and wife Jody, David M. Pierson, Donna J. Black and husband Chuck, Yaroslav "Roy" Yancik, Jr. and wife Lucia, John W. Yancik and wife Teresa, and James R. Yancik and partner Kelly Smith; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; by five siblings, Doris M. Quinn, Richard G. Smith and longtime partner Cecelia J. Emerle, Jeanette E. Malloy, Betty M. Hazzard, Dan T. Smith and wife Vivian. She is preceded in death by her brothers, William L. Smith and Robert I. Smith, and brothers-in-law Ralph W. Quinn, Leslie L. Malloy and Arthur M. W. Hazzard. At Jackie's request, the family viewing will be private. A small gathering for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at O'Grady's Family Restaurant in Phoenixville, PA.
