Jean Arlene Hess

Born in New Berlinville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene R. and Minnie C. (Ziegenfuss) Reigner. For over 22 years, Jean worked diligently as an inspector and seamstress for the Boyertown Casket Company. In her earlier years, she also shared her talents as a clerk for Kinney Shoe Store and in production at the Boyertown Shoe Factory.

Jean was a member of Good Shepherd UCC in Boyertown and gave back to her community through her membership in the New Berlinville and Liberty Fire Company Ladies Auxiliaries.

Her legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her two sons, Gregory P. Hess (Robin) and Keith A. Hess, her 8 beloved grandchildren, and her 21 cherished great-grandchildren.

Jean will be remembered most for her big, bright smile and her love of laughter. She brought an energetic spirit to everything she did, whether she was playing a competitive hand of Texas Hold'em, hosting card nights for family and friends, casting a line while deep-sea fishing in Delaware, or simply relaxing at the beach. Jean lived a long, beautiful life, leaving behind memories with her loved ones. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. A visitation hour will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.
