Joan Marie Giles

Born in Barto. She was a daughter of the late Stella (Grim) and Joseph Walters.

She was a nurse in Boyertown and Bally for over 50 years.

Joan was a member of St. Columbkill’s Church 200 Indian Springs Rd. Boyertown, PA. 19512.

More than anything she just loved being with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved to play bridge and pinochle. Joan was an avid skier in her later years, she enjoyed exercising at the YMCA. And most of all She loved being a nurse.

Joan is survived by her children, David A. husband of Janice Giles of Franklin, IN., Daniel J. Giles of Boyertown, Kathleen Ann wife of Robert Hartman of Mohnton and Laurie Kim wife of William Fedchak of Gilbertsville. Siblings, Patricia wife of Thomas Piacentino and Margaret wife of Paul Conrad. 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive her. A sister-in-law Mary Walters of Barto. She is predeceased by her siblings, Antoinette Ryan and Thomas Walters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkill’s Church on Monday June 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM.

Family and friends may call at church from 10:00 to 10:45 am Monday at church.

Interment will be in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery, Bally.
