Leonard L. Mathias Sr.

Born in Pottstown. He was a son of the late Mildred R. (Renninger) and Leonard M. Mathias.

He was a graduate of the Boyertown High School, Class of 1960.

Leonard worked as a welder for Morysville Body Works in Boyertown and Universal Concrete in Stowe for many years. He also co owned and operated along with his wife, Mathias Health Foods in Boyertown.

He served as a private in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Excelling in marksmanship, sharpshooting and cannon operation.

Leonard was a lifetime member of the VFW in Ocean View, DE. He was also a big fan of NASCAR and Philadelphia sports.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan J. (Smith) Mathias of Douglassville. Children, Leonard L., Jr. husband of Samantha R. (Venzke) Mathias of Limerick and Jennifer A. wife of Steven Shirey of Reading. A sister, Patricia wife of William Knaup of Boyertown, Grandchildren, Melissa A. Mathias of Pittsburgh and Bradley M. Mathias of Limerick. Along with his Beloved buddy Dakota. Leonard is predeceased by his siblings Joanne Groff and Barbara Gilbert.

A celebration of life will be celebrated at the Keystone Villa's Community Room 1180 Benjamin Franklin Hwy. Douglassville, PA 19518 on Saturday April 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM.

The family requests that everyone attending the celebration of Life, following Leonard's wishes to dress comfortably and casually.
