Loretta Beth Bruno

Loretta Beth Bruno, age 71, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the cherished wife of Stanley Bruno. Born in Albany, NY, to the late James and Rose (Baxter) Martyn, Lorie carried forward her family’s legacy of optimism and strength.

Lorie was a haven for her friends and family, her heart and home always open. A steadfast advocate for the underdog, Lorie possessed an extraordinary capacity for understanding others and was a source of empathy and support to many. She will be remembered for her sharp intellect and her infectious sense of humor..

Lorie is now reunited with her parents and her beloved siblings who preceded her in death: Margaret, Gertrude, Mary, Wade, Millicent, James, Michael, and Susan.

Lorie is survived by her husband, Stanley; her sisters Kathleen LaMountain and Angel Poole; her children, Christian Bruno and Jennifer Bruno; and her adored grandchildren, Betty and Robyn Bruno and Jem Doering. Lorie also leaves behind a large and loving circle of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lorie's life. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home Inc., 111 North Reading Ave, Boyertown, PA 19512. Following the visitation, a Mass will be celebrated from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Columbkill’s Church, 200 Indian Spring Rd, Boyertown, PA 19512, where we will honor her faith and beautiful life in Word and song. Lorie will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Rensselaer, NY. For details regarding the graveside service and the following reception in Rensselaer, NY, please contact the family.

In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lorie's memory to: The Breast Cancer Society, WHYY, the SPCA, or St. Columbkill Church. These contributions will continue her legacy of compassion and support for others.
