Matthew was a son of David Specht, Sr., and the late Roxanne (Rhodes) Specht.
He had a passion for taking things apart and putting them back together. He also loved old steam trains and the Philadelphia Phillies. Matthew was also a member of Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company from 1983 until the 1990's.
Along with his father, Matthew is survived by his children: Steven Specht (Holly), Brittany Specht; grandchildren: Nolan, Nigel; brothers: David Specht, Jr., and Joshua Specht.
Services will be private at the request of the family.
