Raymond William Yoder

He was the son of the late Mary (Nein) and John Yoder.

Raymond was a 1951 graduate of East Greenville High School. He was a Staff Sargent in the US Army serving in Germany. For 33 years he worked as a fitter for the former Bethlehem Steel and helped on Charles Rhoads Dairy Farm, Obelisk. He was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ, Barto.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons. Raymond was a life member of Pikeville Sportsmen’s Association, Sassamansville Fire Company, Gilbertsville Fire Company and Green Lane Fire Company.

He is survived by his son, Michael R. Yoder, of Green Lane,PA companion of Sharon Trombley; granddaughter, Kaitlyn, wife of Ryan Magan of Pottstown, PA; a grandson, Eric, husband of Kristen Yoder of Bellefonte, PA; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Yoder of Bellefonte, PA; two sisters, Dorothy, wife of Walter Rhoads of Gilbertsville, PA and Mildred, wife of Larry Neetz of Perkiomenville, PA; four brothers, Leroy, husband of Nancy Yoder, of New Hanover Township, PA, Martin, husband of Jeanette Yoder of Sassamansville, PA, Nelson, husband of Dorothy Yoder of Georgia and Donald Yoder of Alabama He is also survived by his long time friend and companion Dorothy Keim, of Bally. Predeceased by three sisters, Sarah, Ruth and Mary and a brother, Luther.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 at Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Barto, PA.

A viewing will be Friday between 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Boyertown Multi-Service Meals on Wheels Program, 200 West Spring Street, Boyertown, PA 19512.
