Born on December 5, 1946, in Shenandoah Heights, Richard grew up with a keen mind and an unwavering work ethic. He graduated from Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical High School in Philadelphia, which laid the foundation for an accomplished lifetime career as a radiation engineer. Richard took tremendous pride in his professional contributions, often fondly recounting the unforgettable experience of flying aboard the Concorde to Dubai alongside world-renowned radiation oncologist Dr. Luther Brady.
Above all his achievements, Richard’s greatest joy and proudest legacy was his family. He shared 37 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda. Their enduring partnership was built on love, laughter, and mutual devotion, with Linda serving as his greatest source of strength and support. Guided daily by kindness, honesty, patience, humor, and loyalty, Richard lived his life by the Word of God. His calm spirit and steadfast trust in the Lord were epitomized by his favorite hymn, "Be Still, My Soul."
In retirement, Richard embraced the simple pleasures of the outdoors through hunting and fishing. His lifelong fascination with railways blossomed into a joy for model trains and dedicated hours spent volunteering with the Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown, where he welcomed neighbors and visitors alike with a warm smile and eager stories.
Richard is survived by:
