Robert W. Blackton Sr.

Born in Pottsville, PA he was the son of the late John E. and Mary A. (Bluff) Blackton.

Robert was a 1946 graduate of Pottstown High School.

He was a regional sales representative for CJ Bates retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, Boyertown. Robert was a WWII US Army Veteran where played in the full military marching band. He was a music enthusiast who loved jazz and played the saxophone and clarinet.

Robert is survived by five sons, Randall P. Blackton of Moonachie, NJ, Robert W. Blackton, Jr. of Boyertown, PA, Richard E., husband of Geri Blackton of Hillsdale, NJ, Ronald A., husband of Sharon Blackton of Bear, DE and Raymond J., husband of Rosemarie Blackton of Woodcliff Lake, NJ; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, John E. and a sister Dorothy

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Father Marty Kern will officiate.

A viewing will be Monday between 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
