Born in Sassamansville he was a son of the Late Elsie (Reppert) and John Rhoads.
He worked for Mrs. Smith’s as a Truck Driver and later a Tire Mechanic for 25 years until his retirement.
Robert was a life member at the Gilbertsville Fire Company.
Surviving with his wife Midge are his children, Russell Rhoads of Boyertown, Roxanne Steil of Bechtelsville, Rosemarie Bliss of Bechtelsville, Rick husband of Lynn Rhoads of Rahns, P, Randy Rhoads of Perkiomenville, Michael Rhoads of Boyertown and Michelle wife of Melvin Walker of Wimber, PA; 14 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
